So what does this mean? We've updated the web site and one of several things has happened:
- One, that we, at Repeater Builder, made a mistake and have a link on one page that points to where another page should be, but isn't.
If you landed here from a link inside the repeater-builder.com web site, please drop a note to the staff and let us know...
We can't fix it if we don't know it's broken.
Originally the entire repeater-builder web site was in one huge directory on the web server - over a thousand files in one folder. The staff has limited time to keep the site running, including adding new content, and as we have time we are organizing the pages so that all the pages for one topic (like Astron power supplies, or Icom radios) are in their own directory. Usually you never see these moves, as we change all the links that point to the pages that are moved at the same time as we move the pages, so everything still works as it's suposed to (reorganizing this web site has been compared to attempting to overhaul an aircraft engine while in flight). Occasionally we miss a link, and this page pops up when you click on the broken pointer.
- The next possibility is that you got here from a search engine (like Google). All this
page means is that we relocated or renamed (or both) your target page since Google last scanned the referring page. There isn't much that either one of us can do as we can't control their frequency of scanning. All I can suggest is you take the topic name that you were looking for (like Johnson 6060) and go to our main page, then click on the topic page (like Johnson). The page will probably be there.
- If you came here from an archive site like http://www.mail-archive.com then there is NOTHING we can do. The links / pointers in their database are cast in concrete reflecting
where pages were at the time the archive was made and as we reorganize the web site pages are moved and links are broken. Do a search on the repeater-builder web site for the topic of interest and you will probably find it.
- The last possibility is that you clicked on an outdated personal bookmark. If that's the case, well, that page is no longer where your bookmark thought it was, but trust us - it's not gone! Just delete your personal bookmark and go to our main page and click through to the page you are looking for, and then re-bookmark it (In most cases you will find that the page-to-page sequence is the same but the final address (URL) has changed).
For example, if you had a personal bookmark to the Astron page where it was originally, you will find that you are seeing this page instead. Just delete your personal Astron bookmark, and go to our main page and click on "Astron". You will land on the Astron page at it's new location, and you can re-bookmark it.
We're sorry about the hassle, but we're just trying to make the web site easier to maintain, so that the limited (all-volunteer) time we have can be used most efficiently.
As the classic line goes... "These aren't the droids you are looking for. Move along now."

P.S. Don't you wish all web error pages were as helpful?
