Quarter Inch Patch cables are the single most widely used cable in professional audio systems, recording studios and musical instrument rigs.
There are two types of quarter inch patch cables used in a pro audio system. The first type is quarter inch cable is a mono cable often referred to as an unbalnced quarter inch cable or a TS quarter in patch cable.
